I blend them with either a paper stump (the softer ones blend more fully) or a Jackson’s Art Rubber Blender. The latter are available in a dedicated Jason Morgan Wildlife Painting set. I also favour Stabilo’s CarbOthello pastel pencils, Faber-Castell’s PITT pastel pencils, Rembrandt’s soft pastels and PanPastel’s ultra-soft artists’ painting pastels.
